Tokaly Khanna mixed high school

As a large number of boys were recently absorbed by the school due to absence of a boys’ school in the area, a significant need for a new building emerged.

There are currently 1.141 girls and 891 boys in the school (totally 2.032 students) - excluding long term absentees. This translates into 46 classes, 26 girls’ and 20 boys’ classes.

With an average of 44 students in a class, class sizes are far beyond the norm and should be reduced to help ensure quality of education. Pressure on the school is considerable, with no possibility to house seven of the girls’ classes, which therefore are conducted in open air.

DAARTT is constructing a 12 classroom school. This will improve the situation and help promote quality of education.
